Navigating Career Transitions: Embracing New Opportunities and Preparing for the Future


Two weeks ago, I informed my network about my transition from Twin Health due to a company restructuring. While this was unexpected, it has presented me with an opportunity to strategically explore new avenues and further refine my leadership skills.

My time at Twin Health, a leading force in health technology, was incredibly rewarding. I’m immensely proud of the contributions I made alongside an exceptional team. I extend my sincere gratitude to my mentor, CTO and Co-Founder Terry Poon, for his invaluable guidance in leading distributed teams building critical software systems. My faith in CEO Jahangir Mohammed, CMO Lisa Shah, CCO John Davis, Research Head and Co-Founder Dr. M.A.Maluk Mohamed, and the entire Twin Health team remains unwavering. As a shareholder, I’ll continue to champion their success.

This period of transition is a common experience in today’s dynamic market. The outpouring of support from my network has been truly inspiring. Here’s how I’m approaching this next chapter:

  • Strategic Career Planning: The current market requires a thoughtful approach. I’m exploring fractional executive opportunities, allowing me to leverage my expertise on a project basis while simultaneously pursuing my long-term goals.
  • Executive Leadership Development: My focus remains securing a fulfilling and impactful executive position. I’m actively taking steps to refine my skillset through ongoing professional development opportunities. I have signed up with The Ambitious Exec to help me out in this journey.
  • Leadership Authorship: With some time on my hands, I’m contemplating a project that I’ve been passionate about for years: writing a book on engineering leadership.
